Rumors began swirling that Nigerian singer-songwriter Peruzzi had contributed to songs by the Afrobeat sensation, Burna Boy.
During an interview with one of his supporters, who had claimed to be the author of one of Burna's well-known songs, Peruzzi faced criticism for his alleged collaboration with other songwriters, while his fans continued to laud his mastery of language.
The fan went a step further by threatening to prevent Peruzzi from writing songs for Burna Boy and accused him of regularly appropriating songs from fellow musicians.

Peruzzi wasted no time in responding to these allegations, firmly asserting that he had not been involved in composing any of Burna Boy's popular songs.
