During a recent interview with Nadine Graham of Billboard, the CEO of DMW confidently asserted his dominance in the realm of Afrobeats, interrupting the interviewer's attempt to label him as the king of Afrobeats in the US, and instead claimed leadership "everywhere."

Davido expressed his vision as the global leader of Afrobeats, aiming to deliver "just good music" and highlighting the universality of his appeal by mentioning that even people in jail have heard his music.
The artist revealed that he is currently working on two albums, tailored for both African and American audiences, showcasing his commitment to bridging cultural gaps through his music.
Furthermore, Davido shared insights into his creative process, singling out his favorite collaborative effort, "2 AM" featuring Casanova and Tory Lanez. He praised the song for seamlessly blending elements of American, Canadian, and Nigerian culture, reflecting his versatility as an artist with global appeal.
