Twitter personality, Daniel Regha, has provided insight into why he believes Afrobeat star, Davido, surpasses his colleague, Burna Boy, in the realm of music.
In response to Burna Boy's recent shade, triggered by criticism from a 30 BG fan regarding his loss at the Grammy nominations, Daniel Regha defended Davido's stature as an artist.
According to Daniel, Davido's superiority is not contingent on awards, emphasizing that accolades hold little significance. He criticized Burna Boy's use of the Grammy as a basis for disparagement, dismissing the award's current value and insinuating that connections, particularly with American rapper Diddy, played a pivotal role in Burna Boy's victory.
Expressing his perspective, Daniel stated, "Davido is a bigger artiste than Burna (hit songs aside). Winning awards doesn't alter that fact. Using a Grammy to throw shades is an immature act, as the Grammys are practically worthless nowadays and are literally influenced by connections. Let's not forget the rumors about Diddy helping him win, the same Diddy involved in numerous controversies. Since then, Burna has accumulated '10 nominations' but only one win. No shades."
