Nollywood actor and comedian, Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, revealed in a recent interview that he would be content to leave this world without reconciling with fellow comedians Basket Mouth and Julius Agwu. AY shared that he has made several efforts to mend their long-standing issues but to no avail. The beef between AY and Basketmouth allegedly started 17 years ago over a debt of N30,000 owed to AY, a claim which Basketmouth denies, stating that they were never friends. Similarly, Julius Agwu accused AY of organizing a comedy show on a date when he traditionally holds his own show.
In the interview with Teju Babyface, AY expressed that he is no longer pursuing reconciliation, as he believes that friendship is not forced. Despite his efforts, AY feels that it is best to let go and not push the matter any further. He also mentioned that senior colleagues in the comedy industry are aware of his attempts at reconciliation and have advised him to slow down if the parties involved are not willing to mend the relationship.
