The spouse of the renowned Nollywood actress Chacha Eke, namely Austin Faani, has openly shared his personal encounters with the challenges of living alongside a partner who grapples with mental health issues.
It is not an unfamiliar fact that Chacha Eke, the acclaimed Nollywood star, has been coping with bipolar disorder, a condition that has led to various noticeable incidents on social media platforms.
A few months back, Chacha Eke shared a harrowing account of her experiencing a manic episode. She detailed how she wandered the streets, hotels, and beaches of Lagos for several days. Astonishingly, she even revealed using a counterfeit ID to travel by boat to Ghana.
The actress recollected that she suddenly awoke one early morning at 3 am, engulfed by feelings of insecurity at home, which compelled her to escape to a motor park in Asaba and subsequently embark on a journey to Lagos.
Narrating his own experiences, Austin Faani recalled an incident when his wife woke him abruptly at 1 a.m. by shattering a mirror in their room. He explained that Chacha Eke believed that individuals were emerging from the mirror, prompting her to take such an action.
In light of the worsening of her condition, Chacha's husband unveiled how he took the step of seeking divine intervention and arranged for prayers for his wife.
