Nigerian filmmaker, Bolanle Austen Peters, expresses her excitement after winning the prestigious Best Feature Film award at the AFRIFF Awards.
The Africa International Film Festival, AFRIFF, held its award ceremony at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos, where Bolanle Austen Peters celebrated her victory. The event saw the presence of notable film practitioners, including Kunle Afolayan, Segun Arinze, Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Lateef Adedimeji, Mo Bimpe, and AFRIFF founder Chioma Ude.

The filmmaker’s movie, Funmilayo: The Lioness of Lisabi, won the best screenplay and best feature film and she dedicated her win to the family of the late activist, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti.
Sharing a video from the event, Bolanle noted that God has got her back. She also said she and her team have a great movie with great subject so they have every reason to celebrate.
She thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the movie.
