Nigerian actress, Bakare Zainab, has publicly criticized her fellow actress Wumi Toriola for her alleged disrespectful behavior towards her and others on movie sets.
Taking to Instagram Live, Bakare expressed her frustration with Wumi's actions and questioned why the actress had the audacity to approach her.
Bakare revealed that Wumi had been triggering her for over four years, and despite ignoring her behavior, she felt compelled to address the issue publicly.
The actress recounted an incident where Wumi allegedly requested to be credited as an influence in Bakare's movie trailer, 'Sister Esther'. Bakare questioned Wumi's entitlement and criticized her lack of humility, contrasting her behavior with other leading figures in the industry such as Mercy Aigbe, Funke Akindele, Lola Idije, Mide Martins, and Shola Shobowale.
She accused Wumi of being rude to everyone on movie sets, regardless of their age, and emphasized that she would no longer tolerate such behavior.
Bakare concluded her statement by warning Wumi to stop her disrespectful behavior and indicated that she was prepared to confront her directly if necessary.
Bakare Zainab pointed out that some people lead by example and don’t expect anything in return. She brought up names like Mercy Aigbe, Funke Akindele, Lola Idije, Mide Martins, and Shola Shobowale.
She further mentioned that Wumi has been treating everyone rudely on movie sets regardless of their age.
“The audacity baffles me a lot. What gives you the strength to think you can just be talking? It’s been over 4 years, and I just keep overlooking things, sometimes I just post on my WhatsApp status, you guys should go hold your favorite.
Tonight I want to upload my movie and someone is telling people to tell me to put inspired by it. What’s wrong with you? Grow up. Must it be you, why can’t you shush your mouth and just move?
Some people set the pace and so many people will follow that pace, but you I don’t understand you, u can’t even follow your pace. If you set any stupid pace, I will kick it away, because I don’t want to be like you.
At location, you will be rude to everybody both young and old. I think I am done with all this bullshit. Since you sent people to me in private, I have come with my full chest to tell you to stop it. The next time I come on this Live video mention your name. I have given enough clue, those that know I am talking to you, will send this to you”.
