Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred controversy with a pointed comment directed at an unnamed individual who has married a man significantly older than her, likening him to her grandfather.
Angela shared her remark in a now-deleted post on her Instagram story. In the post, she implied that if Nigeria’s economy were in better shape, the person in question would not have chosen to marry someone so much older than her grandfather. She also criticized the individual for giving advice to Nigerians without offering the same guidance to herself.
Angela’s comment was: “Nigeria good na him you go marry man wey old pass your grandfather. You won advice Nigerians but you no advice yourself rubbish.”
This remark has led many netizens to speculate that it was aimed at her colleague, Regina Daniels, who is known for being the sixth wife of billionaire businessman Ned Nwoko. Regina Daniels had recently urged Nigerians to participate in peaceful protests during the End Bad Governance protest.
