“You’re a man, your future is bright” – Passersby encourage man as they stop him from committing suicide [Video]

A young man has been stopped from committing suicide by passersby who spoke encouraging words to him upon sighting him on top of the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos.

A video capturing the scene shows that he was about jumping into the lagoon beneath the bridge prior to the intervention.

“You are a man, your future is bright, please don’t do this..” 

passersby could be heard talking him out of making the dreadful jump.

Fortunately, he changed him mind after officers of the LCC patrol intervened. He was rescued and handed him over to the Police.
