A video showcasing a group of young men eating fufu and soup from a hole dug on the bare ground has caused a significant stir online.

The video, which was shared on the popular social media platform TikTok, captured the men engrossed in their meal while conversing at a farm location.

One of the farmers featured in the video can be heard saying, "As usual, we are in the farm. You can see the fufu, see meat. We are here."

However, the clip has sparked diverse reactions on social media, with many individuals criticizing the farmers for what they perceive as unhygienic eating practices. Some have even speculated that it could be linked to ritualistic activities.

Nevertheless, a few individuals have come to the defense of the young men, asserting that eating from a hole in the ground is a customary practice in certain regions of Africa.

@Robinson Prince asked, "What happened to the plate or pot?"

@Spiritual Knowledge reacted, "Brothers, why not get a plantain or a hygienic surface to eat on? This is not safe."

@Ben inquired, "What really happened here? I don't get it."

@Rafii commented, "This is Africa, my friend."

@Bang Gas shared, "This is how we eat in our area of East Indonesia, Papua."

@gothoeslikebrock expressed, "Cooked in a pot, eaten in dirt."

@Mystiquaa reacted, "It's our culture, people. Stop acting this way."
