A woman has been remanded in Kirikiri prison after she allegedly assaulted a police officer in the Ogombo area of Ajah, Lagos state. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed the incident on Tuesday, May 16. Hundeyin shared a tweet accompanied by a picture showing the lady grabbing a police officer by his uniform.
According to Hundeyin, the incident took place in Ogombo and the woman was arraigned and remanded to the Kirikiri correctional facility until June 6 when the case will be heard again in court. The tweet did not provide the identity of the lady or specific details regarding the assault. However, authorities have taken swift action to ensure that she faces legal consequences for her alleged actions. It is worth noting that this incident follows another altercation involving Afro beats singer, Seun Kuti, who was captured in a viral video slapping a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
