A Ghanaian man named Nana expressed his belief that a relationship grounded in love has a longer-lasting foundation compared to one built solely on wealth.
Nana shared his viewpoint during a radio program focused on the interplay between money, love, and relationships. He emphasized that love serves as the ultimate bonding factor in relationships, and without it, a relationship is prone to eventual failure.
Drawing from his own experience, Nana revealed that despite his financial limitations at the start, his wife chose him over more affluent suitors. He acknowledged that their initial journey together was marked by challenges, but they have since achieved financial stability and success.
Nana highlighted the significance of money in relationships while cautioning against using it as the sole foundation. He stated, “When I met my partner, she was being chased by people who were established. I had nothing at the time; she was just suffering like this like myself. We loved each other.
“Today, the money we are making is only enhancing the love that we had. It didn’t buy us any love, it didn’t buy us any happiness, it only makes it sweeter, I guess. So, love anytime, any day.
If that [money] is the reason alone for you to be in a relationship with somebody, then it’s a recipe for disaster if you ask me.”
