A WAEC result of a young Nigerian boy, Charles David, who reportedly has won 17 spelling bees competition, has emerged online, capturing the attention of many social media users.
Charles David, a student from Greater Tomorrow International College in Arigidi-Akoko, has made headlines with the disclosure of his exceptional achievements in spelling competitions and his recent WAEC results.
His impressive performance in the 2024 WAEC exams complements his distinguished spelling bee track record.
In his WAEC exams, Charles David achieved A1 in English Language, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Animal Husbandry, Computer Studies, and Civic Education, while he obtained B grades in Biology and Physics.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Charles reportedly has achieved significant success in spelling bee competitions.
His success include being named the national champion of the Intercontinental Spelling Bee and the Spell and Thrill Competition in 2023, as well as the state champion of the Spelling Leaders Competition and the Nigeria Spelling Bee (senior category).
He was also the state champion of the Spell It Battle of Champions in 2019.
Speaking on Charles David’s remarkable achievements, Mr. Afolabi Kolawole, the admin officer at GTIC, said:
“Charles David was the best graduating student for the year. He was named the best spelling bee champion in Nigeria last year. This is another outstanding performer He has won numerous spelling bee competitions in Nigeria, since his JSS1 days. In fact, he is due to represent Nigeria in an international spelling bee competition in Dubai in October.”
