Following the recent release of the 2024 WASSCE results, the WAEC result of a Nigerian boy aspiring to study medicine has sparked considerable discussion online.
The student, identified as Austin, who sat for his exams at DEPOWA Schools, shared his results on Facebook after they were officially released on August 12.
Austin revealed in his Facebook post that he had taken nine subjects and has plans to study medicine at the university.
His results featured a mix of impressive grades and one notable setback. He excelled in Civic Education with an A1 and performed well in core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics, achieving B3 in both.
However, his performance in Chemistry, a crucial subject for his desired field, was disappointing with an E8.
In addition, Austin scored C5 in Agricultural Science, C4 in Biology, C6 in both Physics and Computer Studies, and C5 in Catering Craft Practice.
In his Facebook post, Austin expressed his frustration, stating, “My WAEC result. Omo chemistry spoil show.”
When asked about his intended course of study, Austin confirmed: “Medicine.”
