Teebillz, who is known as Tiwa Savage's ex-husband and a talent manager, faced a recent turnaround after defending Naira Marley and Zinoleesky on social media.
Initially, Teebillz had taken to the internet to criticize cancel culture, pleading with Nigerians to forgive Naira Marley for reportedly having a dispute with Mohbad prior to the latter's death.
His defense of Naira Marley and Zinoleesky did not sit well with many Nigerians, leading to significant online backlash against him.
However, in a surprising development, Teebillz decided to retract his earlier statements after facing criticism for his unpopular viewpoint.
He penned an apologetic statement in which he acknowledged his prior insensitivity and clarified that he had no intention to undermine anyone's feelings or opinions. Instead, he expressed his desire to provide help to the young man in question, emphasizing the role of mental health in Mohbad's last days and its potential impact on Zinoleesky as well.
Teebillz's statement read: “I’m sincerely sorry for the insensitivity of my earlier post! I don’t mean to undermine anyone’s feelings or Opinion…….I just rather be of help to this young man than judging him based on association along side being product of his environment!!! MENTAL HEALTH played a major role in MOHBAD’s last days weather you agree with me or not! ZINO is definitely feeling the impact too mentally now!!! My heart also goes out to SOLID STAR…..”
