Bornface Safari recounted the challenging times his mother faced while striving to provide for their family and cover their tuition fees. Their financial struggles led them to reside in a deteriorating house that provided little protection from the harsh weather conditions.

Deeply moved by his mother's sacrifices and relentless hard work on their behalf, Bornface Safari made a solemn pledge to improve her life once he began earning a living.

In an interview with the media outlet Legit, Bornface revealed that he financed the construction of the house using his first salary and financial assistance in the form of loans from friends. The construction project spanned two years before reaching its completion.

Bornface, hailing from Choi village in Akachiu ward, Igembe South of Meru, estimated that the project cost him 5.7 million naira to finish.

“The groundbreaking ceremony took place on December 31, 2021, so I can confidently say that it took me two years to complete the house,” he disclosed.

One might assume that this generous man already possessed a home of his own before embarking on constructing one for his mother; however, this assumption is incorrect.

Safari cited his mother's immense struggle to see him through high school and Egerton University as the driving force behind his decision to prioritize her needs. He attested that these early sacrifices and subsequent milestones had seemed unattainable in their modest-income household.

“My mother was overjoyed, filled with happiness and cheerfulness, as her previous house used to leak and get flooded during the rainy season,” he added.

Furthermore, Bornface expressed his gratitude for having an understanding wife who supported his decision to enhance his mother's life before focusing on their own future.
