The Nigerian lecturer, currently based in the US, went public with his story on his account, @MTforChange, shedding light on a pivotal incident that solidified his choice.

As per his account, their paths first crossed during their time in college. On a particular day, he expressed his displeasure with something she had done.

In a remarkable turn of events, she immediately dropped to both knees, offering a sincere apology for the incident without attempting to explain or justify her actions.

In his own words, "We met in college. One day, I can’t even remember the specifics of the situation, but I said something along the lines of 'I don’t like what you did this morning.' She just went straight down on her two knees to apologize. No argument, no trying to defend herself, no even asking what she did wrong first. Her reflex action was first to apologize. After that incident, I called my sisters to tell them I’ve found my wife.”

Reactions to the post

@anate20101 expressed, “I do tell people men know when they see a wife. It is not about pancakes all over your face or attack and defense packages. Simple things like this attract men.”

@rookie_nda humorously remarked, “Shikenan, them no go marry me and my home girls 😂”

@brandwithtosin added insightfully, “The question is: Is she still kneeling down for you? The kneeling b4 marriage is sometimes a coy. The last time most wives knelt for their husband is the traditional engagement/reception. After that day, na “Babe, how far?” If we do a poll, about 70% of marriages are like this.”

@Akuluouno shared the sentiment, “They don’t make them like this anymore. It’s like being argumentative is one of the prerequisites of being a woman in today’s society.”
