Prophet Okose, a Nigerian clergyman [/b]and former singer-turned-pastor, has stirred controversy online by claiming that sex [/b]before marriage is not a sin.
The clergyman took to the popular social media platform, Facebook, to challenge the traditional religious teachings. In his post, Prophet Okose argues that there is no divine law explicitly prohibiting premarital sex.
Instead, he suggests that such prohibitions are the result of human interpretations and regulations rather than direct commands from God.
The prophet further questioned the logic behind the traditional stance on premarital sex, arguing that it is unrealistic to expect couples with deep affection for each other to abstain from intimacy.
In his words;
‘’ABUSE ME OR CALL ME FAKE PROPHET I STAND MY GROUND TO SAY!!
SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE IS NOT A SIN.
GOD NEVER GAVE THAT LAW MAN DID STUDY YOUR BIBLE WELL.
THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS BELIEVERS PRACTICE THAT WAS THE SUGGESTION OF MAN NOT GOD, EVEN THE MATTER OF DIVORCE GOD SAID I HATE IT, HATING SOMETHING DOESN’T MEAN IT CAN’T HAPPEN.
WE LIVE IN A GENERATION OF RELIGIOUSLY CONFUSED LEADERS WHO HAVE TRANSFERRED THEIR CONFUSION TO THE CONGREGATION AND NOW WE HAVE A BUNCH OF CONFUSED PEOPLE WHO THINK AS THEIR LEADER THINKS.
TELL ME HOW DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE DEEPLY BOTH OF YOU HAVE SERIOUS AFFECTION FOR EACH OTHER AND YOU’RE TELLING ME SEX WILL NOT BE INVOLVED.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE SAID NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE AND STILL END UP MARRYING SATAN’S SON AS A HUSBAND.
MAY GOD DELIVER THIS GENERATION FROM CONFUSED LEADERS.”
