The Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, expressed strong criticism regarding a viral video featuring a police officer opening a car door for fast-rising singer, Spyro. In the video, Spyro visited his former apartment before attaining fame, arriving in a Prado Jeep accompanied by police escorts. PPRO Olumuyiwa deemed the officer's behavior unprofessional and absurd. He stated that the video would be forwarded to the relevant departments and units within the police force to identify the officer in question. PPRO Olumuyiwa shared his disapproval via a tweet, mentioning that appropriate actions would be taken to address the situation. He emphasized the importance of dignity and high esteem for every individual in society.
He tweeted,
“This is indeed unprofessional and ridiculous. The video will be sent to relevant offices and units to fish him out. We will stop some deployments or attachments asap. U can imagine him (guess an inspector of police), moving with and opening the door for him.
Every man in life must have dignity and high esteem. Not only the policeman, but many people lose their dignity for unnecessary gains, projections, assumptions, and undue affluence just to gain something. Na wa oo.”
