The renowned general overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, shares a compelling narrative of divine intervention concerning certain billionaires from his congregation who requested a detailed account of their tithe expenditure.
In a widely circulated video, Pastor Adeboye recounts an incident during a church service where these billionaires sought monthly financial reports on how their tithes were utilized.
Despite initial reluctance due to his belief in the practice being unbiblical, Pastor Adeboye obliged, anticipating divine intervention.
Remarkably, within a span of two years, these billionaires encountered significant setbacks, including the cancellation of lucrative contracts. They attributed their misfortunes to displeasing God by questioning the allocation of their tithes.
Interestingly, despite Pastor Adeboye's intention to illustrate God's grace and without engaging in any conflict, those who attempted to outwit divine principles have since departed the congregation and lost their billionaire status.
Mixed reactions following Pastor Adeboye’s sermon...
Gideon George opines: “The practice of tithing should be approached strategically, considering it involves 10% of everyone's monthly income.”
Wilfred observes: “This sermon seems tailored for a Nigerian audience and may not resonate as strongly with a predominantly white congregation.”
KK Richard humorously remarks: “Another riveting tale from the Wale Adenuga production house! 😂”
Eniola Daniel reflects: “Transparency in financial matters, as practiced in my local Anglican church, fosters trust and accountability.”
MrRouvafe suggests: “Seeking financial accountability may be perceived as prideful and could attract divine retribution, teaching us valuable lessons.”
Suleiman Tajudeen counters: “This narrative seems more like a bedtime story. In reality, seeking financial transparency shouldn't incur divine punishment.”
