The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye deletes his post expressing support for Israel amidst its ongoing conflict with Palestine.
The conflict which began on Saturday after a Palestinian group, Hamas launched an attack on Israel continues onto its sixth day, leaving thousands of people dead and many more injured.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye had taken to the micro-blogging platform, X, to pray for Israelis while wishing peace on their land [/b]in this trying time of theirs.
However, the clergyman’s prayer was met with severe backlash from Nigerians who argued that the Jews are neither Christians nor do they respect Christianity in any way. These claims were backed by multiple videos of Israelis inciting Christians publicly.
The revered preacher has since taken down the video across all his social media pages, including those reposted on the RCCG’s official handles.
