A tragic incident occurred in Lagos involving a passenger named Babatunde. Babatunde, who resided in Osapa London, Lekki, had arranged for a ride through the Bolt app on Monday, April 24th, 2023. The Bolt driver arrived at Babatunde's residence at approximately 2 pm and proceeded to take him to his intended destination of Ikate.
However, during the ride, Babatunde began shouting, "My heart!" and experienced a noticeable change in his demeanor. The driver, concerned for the passenger's well-being, promptly rushed him to two different hospitals. Tragically, Babatunde was confirmed dead at the hospital.
The driver immediately reported the matter to the nearest police station, and the officers there contacted the deceased's family to inform them of the situation. The deceased's body was subsequently deposited at the IDH General Hospital mortuary while the police investigate the circumstances surrounding his sudden death.
