According to reports, the influencer's boyfriend known as Toblad had an issue with her over a certain matter which led to the alleged assault.
In response, Toblad decided to expose his relationship with the Instagram influencer on social media.
According to Toblad, he and Papaya had been dating for two years when they decided to upgrade her car from the old one she was using. He claimed that he had spoken to his dealer about a Mercedes Benz ML350 2014 which the dealer had priced at 9 million naira. Toblad had offered to pay some of the cash upfront, with Papaya paying the remaining balance over time. However, Papaya reportedly insisted on making full payment.
Toblad alleged that when Papaya returned from a trip to Ghana, where she had supposedly gone to see another man, she changed her mind about buying the car. But at that time, the car dealer reportedly told them that they could not have it back. Toblad said that Papaya began giving him attitude and refusing to reply to some of his messages.
