Nigerians have erupted in celebration as photo evidence emerged showcasing the transformation of Godwin Emefiele, the Former CBN Governor, following his time in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The ex-government official has faced multiple arrests, recently creating a buzz as the DSS and prison officials clashed over his arrest at a high court.
Today, a young man on Twitter, with the handle @Onlineguru_, shared a picture depicting the transformation Godwin Emefiele underwent. In his caption, he expressed his sentiments, saying, “look at what Godwin Emefiele has been reduced to SMH 🤦♂️ Thank God he’s out.”
Despite the evident suffering, a significant portion of Nigerians remains unsympathetic and does not share the sentiments expressed by the individual who posted the picture. Many of them attribute blame to Godwin Emefiele for the cash scarcity experienced in the country at the beginning of the year and criticize his unfavorable monetary policies during his tenure as CBN Governor.
