A Nigerian tech expert recently shared his ordeal with a US-based client who failed to pay for a website he developed for her. Despite the client generating income from the website, she did not honor the agreed-upon fee of $600.
In a video shared on his social media account, the techie, identified as Enitan, explained his actions. He had initially requested payment multiple times over a period of six months but received no response from the client. As a result, he decided to delete the website as a form of recourse.
Following the deletion, the client reached out, threatening him and making racially charged remarks. Despite her pleas and attempts to negotiate, Enitan refused to restore the website unless the fee was increased to $6,000. He also left a message on the website stating, “This owner refused to pay her developer for 6 months.”
According to Enitan’s post, the client is reportedly still searching for a developer to replace him.
