The discussion began after Abraham MacHills, another individual, shared an image of a beautiful house claiming to have been built with five million naira. Abraham went on to assert that anyone with land could replicate the structure for the same cost. The post quickly gained attention, prompting skepticism and inquiries from many individuals.

In an attempt to dispel doubts and provide evidence of the possibility, Austin took to Twitter and showcased his own partially constructed building. He wrote, "This is my house, three million naira well spent and supervised by me. Two more million will complete the house. I don't know why you all are doubting the man. Five million naira can build a two-bedroom bungalow aside from furnishing."

Many individuals have expressed surprise and disbelief, given the prevailing perception that constructing a house requires significantly larger budgets. Netizens shared their reactions, with some expressing concerns about potential issues such as the absence of a German floor (DPC/Ground floor slab) and the impact of damping on the house's stability and maintenance costs.

Despite the criticism and skepticism, Austin defended his project, stating that he managed to keep the costs low and emphasizing that not every aspect of the house needed to be luxurious. He mentioned examples of other individuals, like Don Jazzy, who spent much larger sums on their houses but argued that a roof over one's head could be achieved with a budget of five million naira for a two-bedroom bungalow.

The debate continues, with different perspectives and opinions on the feasibility and long-term sustainability of constructing a house with a relatively modest budget.
