A Nigerian lady named Adaobi Adibe has triumphed over a two-year battle with kidney disease by undergoing a successful kidney transplant. On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Adaobi took to Twitter to share her remarkable journey and the fresh lease on life she now enjoys.

Her social media announcement was met with an overwhelming outpouring of support and celebration from friends, family, and well-wishers. In a series of tweets, she expressed her immense relief and happiness following the successful surgery.

Adaobi's words were filled with joy as she exclaimed, "Guys. I just had my transplant surgery. After just 4 weeks on the transplant list. Do you know how insane that is?!?!?!?!? I had mentally prepared myself for 3 years. I am still in shock."

She went on to celebrate the newfound freedom from dialysis, the ability to swim, and the recovery of 30 hours of her week. She expressed her excitement about being able to travel and move freely, highlighting the end of cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue.

"It finally feels like for the first time in 2 years I can finally stop thinking about dying. Like really. Not thinking about how much time I may have left," Adaobi concluded in one of her tweets.
