Dr Eric Umeofia, the Chief Executive Officer of Erisco Foods Limited, has made a remarkable gesture by offering a cash prize of N2.5 million to Kamsiyochukwu Umeh for her outstanding score of 360 in the JAMB UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination). Kamsiyochukwu, a student of Deeper Life High School, achieved remarkable scores in her subjects, including 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English. In an interview with Punch Newspaper, Dr Umeofia expressed his admiration for Kamsiyochukwu's exceptional academic achievement and emphasized the significance of encouraging and rewarding exceptional students. He further announced that the school administrator and Kamsiyochukwu's four teachers would also receive rewards as a recognition of their contributions to her success. Kamsiyochukwu's exceptional performance in the national examination has earned her the distinction of being the top JAMB candidate for the year 2023, garnering recognition and praise from across the country. In an earlier interview, Kamsiyochukwu shared her excitement upon learning about her impressive score. She mentioned being at school when the results were announced and immediately seeking out her counselor to verify the outcome. She also excitedly called her parents to share the good news. The generous reward from Dr Umeofia serves as a testament to the value of hard work and dedication to academic excellence.
