Mohbad's widow seeks justice for her deceased husband, meeting with Femi Falana

Renowned Human Rights Lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has confirmed that Omowunmi, the wife of the late singer, Mohbad, visited his office to seek justice for her husband's recent and mysterious passing.

Mohbad, a rising star in Nigeria's music scene, tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, and was quickly laid to rest, prompting questions and calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

In response to these concerns, Omowunmi Aloba turned to Femi Falana, known for his unwavering advocacy for human rights and justice, seeking legal assistance in her quest for justice for her late husband.

In an interview with Punch, Mr. Falana confirmed the visit of Mrs. Aloba to his office and her request for legal support. He expressed his dedication to helping her uncover the truth and ensure accountability.

Additionally, Femi Falana took proactive measures to ensure the case receives proper attention within the legal system. He revealed that he met with Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, to discuss the matter.

During their meeting, Commissioner Owohunwa assured Mr. Falana that a comprehensive investigation had already been launched into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's untimely demise.

“The young widow of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, visited our office yesterday (Tuesday) to seek support in pursuing justice for her late husband.

“While sympathising with her and the entire Aloba family, we assured her of our unalloyed commitment to ensure that the circumstances of the unfortunate death of the Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter were unearthed.

“Thereafter, we held a meeting with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Idowu Owohunwa, in respect of the investigation being conducted by the police in respect of the matter. The CP furnished me with the progress made so far in the investigation.
