In the viral video making rounds on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, Moyo was seen responding to a series of pointed questions from an interviewer, who sought to understand her stance on women accepting gifts from men they have no intention of dating. The interviewer asked whether it is appropriate for women to accept such gifts, trying to gauge her perspective on social and relationship boundaries.

Moyo did not shy away from her opinion. She candidly confirmed that she is indeed in a committed relationship, but clarified that even being married would not stop her from receiving presents from men. She explained that receiving gifts is not tied to romantic or sexual involvement but is simply a recognition of her presence and charm. In one part of the video, she recounted a recent incident where a man gifted her $1,600 to purchase a MacBook Pro M4, emphasizing her belief that such gestures are harmless and a normal part of social interactions for women.

When the interviewer flipped the question, asking how she would feel if another woman were gifting her partner, Moyo responded with conviction. She questioned why her partner would be receiving gifts from other women, pointing out the asymmetry in societal expectations. She said: “First of all, why is my partner supposed to be receiving gifts from other women? And secondly, why is a woman gifting my man?” She further clarified: “I’m a girl, I’m a girl. Everybody wants to splash money on a woman, and especially when you are pretty, everybody wants to spend on you. But why is a woman spending her money on a man? Why is a woman spending on my man if my man is not sleeping with her?” Her reasoning highlighted her perspective that the act of gifting is gendered and socially nuanced, reflecting different expectations for men and women.

The video quickly went viral, with thousands of social media users flooding the comment sections to voice their opinions. While some viewers supported her perspective, arguing that women should not be restricted in accepting gifts, others criticized her outlook, labeling it as irresponsible or indicative of questionable morals.

Among the reactions, Growwithamaka wrote: “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with collecting gifts from anybody, not to talk at all about collecting gifts from a male. So it shouldn’t stop it from quitting. Gift from anyone at home. This is valid. It should be valid.”

Ahm_dinho commented: “That’s why you all end up getting married and you marry the bad men and you turn back to disturb God with your prayers.”

Yab_jnr added: “Then why be in a relationship? Go and meet the married man!….. She belongs to the streets guys. 😂”

SteveNsznxx stated: “This is how pathetic the society has been. Few years later she will be praying to God to stop her husband from cheating even fighting the husband.”

NaijaBudgetBro remarked: “Some people chase love, others chase presents… she’s doing both.”

The video has sparked heated discussions about relationships, trust, and societal expectations of women, with debates ongoing about whether Moyo’s stance is a modern expression of independence or a problematic disregard for relationship boundaries. Many viewers noted the contrast between receiving gifts and the expectations placed on partners, highlighting the complexities of contemporary dating norms.
