A young Nigerian man has become the center of massive online attention after narrating how a serious confrontation broke out between himself and his mother over his recent lifestyle choices. The young man revealed that he had boldly decided to cover his body with 10 permanent tattoos while also adding a nose piercing, a decision that did not sit well with his family, especially his mother.

According to him, the situation at home grew so intense that he ended up appealing for the government to intervene and rescue him from the constant pressure and rejection he faced. He claimed that the criticism and harsh words from his mother made life unbearable for him. The video capturing the exchange was widely shared across social media platforms including X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, where it quickly spread and sparked heated debates among netizens.

The young man, identified by his handle @ogikka, explained in his post that after staying away from home for several months, he returned only to face a strong backlash from his mother, who wasted no time in confronting him. In the video clip, his mother could be seen grabbing onto his clothes, visibly angry and disappointed at the decisions he had made regarding his body. She repeatedly scolded him, telling him that among all her children, he was the only one who chose to live in such a manner, making him stand out negatively.

In frustration, the man was heard in the video lamenting: “You dey see my mama, make government come carry me for this house o. Na so my mama dey bully me since dem born me.” His words suggested that he had always felt singled out and harshly judged by his mother, a claim that stirred mixed reactions online.

Many who watched the video expressed divided opinions. Some people strongly backed the mother, saying she had every right to discipline her child and express disappointment in his choices. Others, however, defended the young man, insisting that he was old enough to make decisions about his body and should not be overly criticized for it.

The incident, which continues to attract comments and shares, reflects the generational gap in how tattoos, piercings, and modern fashion choices are perceived in Nigerian society. While some see it as an expression of individuality and personal freedom, others still regard it as rebellious behavior that should be discouraged within the family setting.
