A Nigerian man has realized his aspiration of acquiring citizenship in another country by obtaining Canadian citizenship, fulfilling a commitment he made two years ago to secure dual citizenship for his children.
Back in March 2021, this individual, who goes by the name @_ThatCJ, took to social media to declare his unwavering determination to ensure that his unborn children would possess citizenship in a country other than his country of birth.
During this period, he expressed his willingness to have his children granted citizenship in any second country, even if it were Madagascar, emphasizing the importance of dual citizenship for his offspring.
He had written, "For what it's worth, I must give my children dual citizenship. Even if it's Madagascar I can afford, they're better off as penguins!"
Fast forward two years, and the man has successfully realized his dream, taking to Twitter to update his followers after securing Canadian citizenship.
His update was concise, consisting of a quote from his earlier tweet along with an image of his new country's passport.
