A marriage of only two days has abruptly ended as the newlywed husband has officially filed for divorce, citing his wife's disrespectful behavior towards his mother. This incident was brought to light by Nigerian zoologist Abdullah A Abdullah, who sought advice from netizens. According to Abdullah's detailed account, the husband's decision to seek a divorce was directly triggered by an unfortunate incident that took place during their wedding reception.
During the reception, some guests from the groom's mother's side arrived when the available food was running out. The only remaining portion of food was specifically set aside by the bride for her own parents. Sensing the unfairness of the situation for the guests who had traveled from afar, the mother-in-law approached her daughter-in-law discreetly, requesting a share of the food to be given to the newlyweds.
However, the bride firmly refused, firmly stating that the food was exclusively meant for her parents. Despite the mother-in-law's pleas and attempts to reason with her, the bride took back the food and poured it into the cooler. This action triggered the mother-in-law to slap her son's wife, and in response, the wife retaliated. Although the husband became aware of the altercation, he chose not to create a scene during the wedding reception. However, just two days later, he made the decision to file for divorce.
Abdullah mentioned that the divorce case is currently in progress, and despite his mother's sincere appeals for forgiveness and reconciliation, the husband remains steadfast in his determination to proceed with the divorce.
