A Nigerian man identified as Kingmaker has gone viral after sharing his frustration online, accusing a church usher of allegedly damaging his expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max simply because he was spotted using it during service.
The aggrieved man narrated the ordeal on TikTok, expressing disbelief that such an incident could happen in a place of worship. According to him, the usher allegedly smashed his device to the ground, leaving the phone badly cracked and unusable.
In the short video he uploaded, Kingmaker carefully displayed the shattered phone, lamenting the loss of such a costly gadget over something he considered minor. He further shared the clip with a caption that read:
“Because I dey press my iPhone 14 pro max during service at church, see wetin usher do me.”
The post immediately drew massive attention and divided opinions on social media. While some sympathised with him for the financial setback, others questioned why he was using his phone in church during prayers or service. A few commenters even joked about what might have followed after such a heated confrontation with the usher.
