A Nigerian man shared a humorous incident where he accidentally transferred about N400K instead of N40K to a fan who sought financial assistance.
User @LawrenceOkoroPG narrated on the microblogging site X that a fan reached out directly, requesting a hundred thousand naira favor. After clarifying that he could only provide 40,000 naira, the enthusiastic fan promptly shared his account details. However, during the N40K transfer, an unintentional N400K was sent.
The man mentioned that he requested the fan to return the excess money. Surprisingly, the fan deducted the initial amount he initially requested (N100K) and sent back a balance of N300K.
He wrote,
“Some time last year, someone came to my DM to seek a favour of N100k. I told him I can only give N40k from the N100k. He was excited. He sent his account details and I mistakenly credited N400k. He told me to send my account for a refund of the excess, I did and he refunded N300k. He sent an epistle to explain how he urgently needs the 100k. I was lost in disbelief”.
