A lawyer who had recommended a woman for a job with a salary ranging from N500,000 to N600,000 shared the story of how she lost the opportunity due to a disrespectful comment made during her interview. The lawyer, known on Twitter as @Egi_nupe_, revealed that despite turning down the job offer himself due to his level of experience, he had referred a lady for the high-paying position.
In a twist of events, during the interview, the woman was asked how she learned about the job opening. Her response shocked the lawyer as she referred to him as "one noisy guy on Twitter." The lawyer took to Twitter to express his disappointment and frustration over the incident.
He wrote:
"I recommended someone for a job and on the day of the interview, they asked her how she got to know about the job and she said: through one noisy guy on Twitter. Why did you apply for the job openings I post if you resent me so bad? To think I screen CVs and recommend on merit and nothing more. I am not sorry to say but you will keep job hunting because your dirty attitude has cost you to lose an opportunity to earn good salaries."
The lawyer's post highlighted the importance of maintaining professionalism and gratitude when seeking job opportunities, even when recommendations come from unexpected sources.
