Prior to Lata's astonishing achievement, the longest cooking marathon was held by Rickey Lumpkin from Los Angeles, who demonstrated incredible endurance by cooking continuously for an impressive duration of 68 hours, 30 minutes, and one second back in 2018.

However, Lata surpassed this previous record by an astounding margin of over 20 hours. Displaying an unparalleled passion for the culinary arts, she cooked an extraordinary amount of food during her four-day marathon. Lata prepared more than 1,600 kilograms of food grains, expertly crafted 400 vada pavs, 250 sandwiches, and an array of other delectable delicacies.

The fruits of her labor were not solely enjoyed by her own satisfaction, but were also generously shared with over 20,000 visitors. Among the fortunate recipients were children from orphanages, students from blind schools, and senior citizens from old age homes, all of whom were treated to Lata's scrumptious creations. Not stopping at culinary excellence, Lata also utilized her platform as a chef and environmentalist to inspire others, encouraging the planting of over 17,000 saplings in a bid to promote a greener and more sustainable world.

With Hilda Baci on the verge of potentially shattering Lata's impressive record, Lata has taken a moment to extend her support and well wishes. In a heartfelt message addressed to Hilda, she wrote, "All the best Hilda. Hope to see you on the official site of the Guinness Book Of World Record soon!!!" Lata's words exemplify the true spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, as she gracefully acknowledges the possibility of her record being surpassed by another exceptionally talented chef.
