The Facebook user, identified as Ann Amos, recounted the strict cleanliness rules her partner enforced, which created an uncomfortable dynamic between them. She explained that he would not tolerate even the slightest mess, illustrating this with the fact that he kept a bin in his car specifically for any litter, demonstrating his commitment to maintaining a spotless environment.

“He had a bin in his car, and if you threw something out the window, he would park and pick it up,” she revealed, showcasing just how serious he was about cleanliness.

His obsession with tidiness permeated every aspect of their relationship. Ann described how she was not allowed to sleep without wearing panties or joggers, emphasizing the level of control he exerted over their daily lives. Ultimately, the pressure of adhering to his strict standards became too much for her to handle.

In a reflective moment, she acknowledged her decision to end the relationship, stating, “Omo, I understood why he was divorced… I ran for my life.” This revelation encapsulates her feelings of discomfort and the overwhelming nature of his obsessive behavior.

Why I dumped my divorcee partner who has OCD

“I dated one divorcee for barely two months. He was obsessed with neatness; I basically felt dirty around him. You can take a drive with him and probably throw a chocolate or snack wrapper out the window, and he would park to pick it up. He has a bin in his car for that very reason.

You can’t even sleep without wearing panties. I mean, you must wear either panties or joggers; just a nighty wouldn’t work. You can’t drop your handbag on the chair either. My girlfriend and I visited his place one time, and she placed her bag on the arm of the couch. He promptly told her to drop it on the floor, arguing that the bag could be carrying germs since she uses it in public.

He doesn’t share towels; he has dozens of new towels specifically for visitors. Each time someone comes over, they get a brand-new towel to use. At his entrance, he keeps pure white slippers to easily see if your feet are dirty, allowing him to assess whether the cleaner has done a good job in the house.

He even inspects you when you’re cooking to ensure you maintain cleanliness. Although he cooks well himself, he often prefers to handle the cooking so he can monitor the process. You have to wash your hands every single time you do anything. Omoh, I understood why he was divorced… I ran for my life.”[/p>
