A young Nigerian woman, aged 26 and hailing from Kogi State, has sparked massive online conversations after boldly opening up about her controversial lifestyle choices and her unapologetic view on relationships and money. Her revelations, which surfaced in a trending video, have left many social media users both shocked and divided, fueling debates around morality, values, and the state of modern dating in Nigeria.
In the viral clip, the woman confidently explained that she has no interest in being tied down by traditional commitments or the demands of a serious relationship at this stage of her life. Instead, she chooses to live life on her own terms, describing her current lifestyle as one that prioritises freedom, financial gain, and enjoyment over emotional attachment. She openly disclosed that she prefers to engage men casually, fix a price for her time, and move on without strings attached.
She admitted to sleeping with as many as 10 men every month, charging fees that range from ₦150,000 for a short session to as high as ₦500,000 for an overnight stay. According to her, this system works perfectly as it allows her to enjoy her independence while also securing the funds she believes are necessary to sustain her expensive lifestyle.
“Relationship can wait till 30”
Speaking further, the 26-year-old clarified that she has a personal timeline for settling down. She boldly declared that until she clocks 30 years old, relationships and marriage are completely off the table. Instead, her focus will remain on her personal happiness, independence, and financial satisfaction. She even noted that once she reaches 30, she intends to make drastic lifestyle changes, including her dressing, personality, and general approach to life.
“When I turn 30, I’ll change my personality, my lifestyle, my dressing, actually a lot of things about myself,” she revealed in the video. “But for now, I am enjoying my single life. I don’t want the stress of checking calls, monitoring movements, or dealing with the drama that comes with relationships.”
Perhaps most controversially, she dismissed the idea of being with men who earn ₦1 million monthly, arguing that such income cannot maintain her lifestyle. In her words: “If a man makes ₦1 million, that means he has to give me ₦900,000 and keep ₦100,000 for himself. A whole me is the return nau. I’m satisfying him in bed and giving him all that he wants.” This statement further fueled the heated online backlash.
Social media reactions
The woman’s bold stance has since triggered an avalanche of responses across multiple platforms, with many Nigerians condemning her perspective as a worrying reflection of misplaced priorities among today’s youth.
OlaMide commented: “See future mothers. God have mercy.”
Giffney wrote: “Coming from a lady that brings nothing.”
Stan added: “So nobody fit find this gal for me.”
P.O.E reacted: “Price and pay set but this one na Asaba Shoprite levels.”
HEY noted: “Coming from someone who doesn’t have up to 50k to her name.”
While some laughed off her comments as attention-seeking, others expressed deep concern about the growing culture of transactional relationships and the erosion of traditional values in society. For many, her video symbolises a broader issue of materialism and the pressures women face to meet unrealistic financial expectations in today’s dating scene.
