Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, recently concluded a seven-day traditional rite to commemorate his new chieftaincy title, which was bestowed upon him in his hometown of Ijebu-Ode. Dressed in white regalia and adorned with leopard skin, K1 De Ultimate was seen exiting his family house, accompanied by his wife, Emmanuella Ropo.
The title, “Olori Omo Oba Akile Ijebu,” was graciously bestowed upon K1 by the Awujale of Ijebu Land, HRM Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba Agbotewole II. This title, previously held by the late Balogun, symbolizes the strength and dignity of the Ijebu people.
KWAM 1’s attainment of this prestigious title reflects his remarkable contributions to enhancing the reputation of Ijebuland and, by extension, the entire Yorubaland. Before this latest honor, he had already earned the title of Mayegun of Yorubaland, further solidifying his status as a respected figure in the Yoruba community.
