[p] A lot of Nigerians have continued to criticize the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, that some election results announced in favor of Bola Tinubu have yet to be uploaded on the portal. According to a Twitter user identified as Chief Ikukuoma, many of the results announced by INEC cannot be found on their portals. There has been widespread skepticism about the provisional results announced by INEC, many of which favored the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Tinubu.
The Twitter user shared a video and captioned it, "Some Nigerians are still dragging INEC after they realized that some results announced in favor of Bola Tinubu are yet to be uploaded on the portal." In the video, the user claimed that INEC had announced the result of the Ekiti state election, but it had not been loaded onto the server yet. The user went on to liken this situation to announcing exam results in class without them being available on the examination board's portal.
The criticisms against INEC and Yakubu come amid heightened tensions and allegations of electoral fraud in the Nigerian presidential election. Many citizens are calling for transparency and accountability in the electoral process, and are expressing concern about the integrity of the results being announced by INEC.
