Nansel explained that Adamu Abdullahi, the father of the victim, residing at Orange Market Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, reported to the Police on August 13 around 3:30 p.m. that his two-year-old son had been missing for nearly two weeks.

The complainant also informed the police that he had received a ransom demand of N2 million from an unknown caller on the same day.

In response, police detectives launched a search for the missing child, leading to the apprehension of the primary suspect and three accomplices.

Upon interrogation, the prime suspect, a neighbor of the victim’s father, confessed to conspiring with the other suspects from Orange Market to abduct the child.

The suspect revealed to the detectives that he had handed the child over to his wife, who transported the child to Katsina State.

Subsequently, the police traced the wife to Katsina State, where they arrested her and successfully reunited the child with his parents.
