One brave resident, Julius Pam from Heipang, recounted the chilling sequence of events to Punch reporters in Jos. He confirmed that the assailants, suspected to be Fulani militias, stormed the community, leaving behind a trail of devastation and heartbreak.
Among the victims were members of Julius Pam's own family - his brother, sister-in-law, and their innocent children - a grim reminder of the indiscriminate nature of the assault.
Swift action was taken by the authorities in response to this distressing situation. Reports from the command headquarters indicate that security forces were promptly dispatched to the Heipang community to restore order and prevent any further loss of precious lives.
