The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has issued a stern warning to the people of Edo State, claiming that they will live to regret it and endure severe hardships if they choose to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, in the upcoming election.
In a TikTok video that has gone viral, the cleric urged voters to avoid making the mistake of casting their ballots for the APC due to any grievances they may have with the current governor, Godwin Obaseki. He cautioned that doing so would lead to the worst economic conditions and the most vulnerable security situation the state has ever experienced.

He went on to say:
“The best person who will do Edo better is the PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo. Say what you will, but the fact is, if the PDP fails, they will be rigged out. The APC will manipulate the results using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS), and they will use it to defeat you.”
He also urged the PDP to be vigilant in how BIVAS is utilized, warning:
“If you allow BIVAS to be used against you, they will rig you out, and there will be no repercussions. The other candidate will assume power, and the people of Edo will suffer. Esan will remain stagnant, entirely stagnant. You must choose the best option available.”
Continuing his warning, the cleric added:
“If you don’t select the best candidate and instead choose the worst, you will suffer immensely. That is the message from the Lord. If you believe that Obaseki is bad, just wait until the APC comes into power, and Edo will face even tougher times. The economy will be at its worst, and security will collapse entirely. You will live to regret your decision.”
The cleric, while admitting that he has never met Asuerinme Ighodalo, concluded:
“I don’t know him personally, but he will accomplish more than Obaseki ever could. Take it or leave it; that’s the message from above.”
