Oluwakemi, a University of Lagos final-year student, captured carrying a placard on the street to pay her school fees.
According to a report in the Nigerian Tribune, Oluwakemi was seen at a roundabout in the Ifako-Gbagada neighborhood of Lagos state.
Oluwakemi, who reportedly lives in the Agege region of the state with her grandmother, claimed that despite her best efforts, it has been impossible for her to pay the N225,000 in school fees [/b]since the university announced the increase.
The part-time student added that several males offered sex in exchange for the tuition, but she was unable to accept their advances.
Oluwakemi claims that because she did not want to engage in prostitution, she turned to public begging.
She claimed that the best course of action is to ask for alms from sincere Nigerians who will understand and support her.
