Deborah, a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, tragically lost her life when she was lynched by her schoolmates on May 12, 2022.

Following the incident, Chibuzor Chinyere, the general overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, intervened to assist Deborah's family.

On May 16, 2022, Chinyere wrote on Facebook, "I just watched a video clip where the parents of Deborah Samuel said they will not be sending their children to school again. GOD FORBID."

It was reported that Chinyere provided the family with a house, a car, and improved their overall living conditions, making their lives more comfortable and promising.

However, an update from the family reveals that their living conditions have not been favorable.

During an interview with a journalist, Emmanuel and Alheri shared that life has been far from rosy since the OPM pastor relocated them to Port Harcourt.

"People think that we are living well, but we are not. OPM brought us from Niger State to Port Harcourt City last year. The OPM pastor provided us with a mini estate consisting of around 14 self-contained apartments. After that, OPM rented this bedroom flat for us," Emmanuel explained.

"The pastor said we should stay here as a family because the self-contained apartments would not be sufficient. He furnished this apartment with appliances," he continued.

"Initially, OPM gave me a car. It was a used Toyota Corolla, which I used as a taxi. However, the car has encountered several issues, and I am currently unable to fix it," Emmanuel disclosed.
