Deborah Moses, a talented interior designer who was widely known by her brand name Deb’rah Porsche, has tragically lost her life in Lagos after allegedly being murdered by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Lintex Ogale. The heartbreaking incident, which has sent shockwaves across her community, occurred late on Wednesday night, only months after Deborah had bravely ended the toxic relationship with the suspect.
Her sudden and violent death has sparked outrage from her grieving family, shocked neighbours, colleagues, and human rights activists, who are now demanding that justice must prevail in this case. Many have taken to social media to express disbelief, mourning her untimely death and condemning the increasing cases of gender-based violence in Nigeria.

According to eyewitness accounts and preliminary police reports, the suspect, who hails from Otukpo in Benue State, devised a shocking plan to gain access to Deborah’s estate. He disguised himself as a dispatch rider and tried to slip through security unnoticed. When security operatives grew suspicious of his behaviour, he reportedly scaled the fence into the compound, determined to confront his victim at all costs.
Upon reaching Deborah’s apartment, Lintex allegedly attempted to cause an explosion by tampering with the gas cylinder pipe outside her home, but the attempt failed. Enraged, he forcefully broke into her residence and launched a brutal attack. Reports revealed that he stabbed her multiple times in a fit of rage until she succumbed to her injuries, leaving her lifeless body in a pool of blood.
Family members of the deceased revealed disturbing details about their relationship. According to them, Deborah had ended her relationship with Lintex over a year ago due to consistent domestic violence and abuse. However, even after their separation, he allegedly continued to stalk and threaten her life. One relative disclosed: “They broke up more than a year ago, but this man refused to move on. He kept saying things like, ‘If I can’t have you, no one else will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow.’ Sadly, he has now carried out those threats.”
Deborah’s family further shared that she had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and was on the verge of establishing a promising career in interior design before her life was cruelly cut short. Friends and loved ones have described her as hardworking, passionate, and full of dreams for the future.
Neighbours, hearing her screams, bravely intervened and managed to overpower the suspect after the gruesome attack. He was restrained until security operatives arrived, and has since been handed over to the police for investigation. He is currently in custody as activists, relatives, and women’s rights groups call for a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure that justice is served without compromise.
Deborah’s death has reignited calls for stronger laws and better enforcement against domestic violence and intimate partner abuse in Nigeria. Many have emphasized that her tragic end should not be in vain, urging authorities to make her case an example to deter future perpetrators of such heinous crimes.
For Deborah Moses, what was once a bright future filled with talent and potential has been stolen, leaving behind devastated loved ones and a community demanding answers and accountability.
