The gubernatorial hopeful of the People’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dino Melaye, emerged victorious in his polling unit, securing a substantial lead.
Melaye garnered a total of 210 votes, outshining the All Congress candidate (APC), Ahmed Ododo, who managed to secure only 22 votes. Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) lagged behind, securing a distant third with a mere 7 votes.
The National Rescue Movement, People’s Redemption Party, African Democratic Party, 001, and Social Democratic Party received 001, 002, 001, and 001 votes respectively.
With only 252 voters accredited out of the 819 registered voters, the polling unit witnessed a notably low turnout during the election.
Reports indicate that the PDP standard bearer, along with his supporters, opted not to partake in the voting exercise, citing allegations of the election being compromised by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
