While commending the president for the recent appointments of security chiefs, particularly Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser (NSA), Deji emphasized the importance of ensuring that loyalty to Nigeria takes precedence over political affiliations. He stated that if the new service chiefs fail to fulfill their duties, Tinubu should not hesitate to dismiss them in order to maintain individuals who are committed to the nation.

Deji, who achieved a first-class honours degree in law last year, expressed his enthusiasm over the appointment of Nuhu Ribadu as NSA, applauding the president for making such a courageous decision. He also stressed the need for military appointments to be based on merit rather than political favors.

He stated, "If the new service chiefs fail in their duty, they should equally be sacked without much ado. Only through this means can we have service chiefs whose loyalty is to the Nigerian state."

Furthermore, Deji called upon all newly appointed military officials to avoid conflicts between agencies and corruption. He urged them to support Tinubu in achieving his political goals and work towards halting the decline in various aspects of the nation's development.
