In a May 2023 interview with The Punch, Temitope explained that his decision to become a commercial motorcycle rider stemmed from difficulties in obtaining government jobs. Despite holding a bachelor’s degree, he faced challenges with age restrictions in applications to agencies like the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Now, in a recent update with Punch, Temitope reveals a positive transformation. Following the widespread attention garnered from the viral interview, he received support from individuals that enabled him to purchase a Toyota Camry. Grateful for the turnaround in his life, he expresses appreciation for the newfound opportunities that have come his way.

Reflecting on the impact of the interview, Temitope acknowledges the initial skepticism and insults he faced but emphasizes the positive changes. He shares the journey of buying the car, stating that people rallied to support him financially. With the new vehicle, he has transitioned to ridesharing, finding dignity and respect in his current job compared to his previous experience as an okada rider.

Despite not achieving all his goals, Temitope is in a better position than before, enjoying a more stable and respectable life. He remains hopeful for better opportunities and a brighter future.
